In the aftermath of the Dawn War, Trius was one of the major lieutenants of Pelor, acting as a wandering diplomat and general of Hestavar and serving his father’s will. He was a valiant and tireless hero, upheld as a paragon of service to Pelor, and then one day he fell. He began calling for the dismantling of Pelor’s regime and attempted to lead an open rebellion. It failed, and Trius exiled himself to the prime plane as a Deva, determined to destroy pretty much everything.
After a storied career as a villain, constantly skirting moral points of no return without being turned into a Rakshasa, Trius came to stay in Zhentil Keep, which sat on prime plane at the edge of Avernus. There, Trius began a centuries long campaign of perverting, corrupting and destroying every iota of good in the city.
On the eve of his success, as devils ran wild in the streets and the people lamented, Trius was visited by The Nameless One, a man whose mortality had been stripped of him. Rather than try to judge Trius, The Nameless One told him ””The Upper Planes are the home of justice, beauty, and goodness. They are also home to forgiveness. Go home. Admit your error and beg forgiveness.”
And then Trius did.
